Hi, I'm Rebecca
I believe that all the tools we need to heal and grow are already within us, but sometimes, we need a compassionate space to access them. Whether you’re navigating everyday stress or overwhelming loss, I’m honored to partner with you to identify clear and reachable goals that stimulate meaningful growth. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in complex trauma and exploring the way relationship to self informs relationship to others. With a background in early childhood education and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling, I bring both practical insight and clinical expertise to my work. My clinical framework is informed by nervous system approaches like EMDR and IFS.

About Sequoia Mental Health
The name “Sequoia Mental Health” is inspired by the wonder of sequoia trees. Not only do these trees represent deep roots, the importance of being a part of a community, and the beauty of growth uniquely made possible by scorched earth, but they are also a living testimony of the concept of living for the moment beyond this one. If I were to plant a sequoia tree today, it would not be interesting by the time I died. But because I chose to invest in it, my great-grandkids would get to witness magnificence they may not see otherwise. Sequoia Mental Health invites clients to ask the question “what does it mean for me to live beyond myself? To live beyond this moment?”. What would it be like to do something not because you have assurance that you’ll receive the benefit but purely because it is good, because it is beautiful?
